Ingredients:
For the Donuts:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/3 cup nuts’n more Cinnamon Toast Powder

1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
-
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
-
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
-
1/4 tsp salt
-
1 tsp baking powder
-
1/2 tsp baking soda
-
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 egg
-
1/2 cup applesauce
-
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
-
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
-
3 tbsp. melted butter, cooled
For the Cinnamon Toast Glaze:

¼ cup + 2 tbsp. nuts’n more Cinnamon Toast Powder
-
3 tbsp. water
-
2 tbsp. coconut oil
Directions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°. Spray a donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- Combine flour, brown sugar, Cinnamon Toast Powder, spices, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl and whisk together.
- In a medium bowl, add vanilla, egg, applesauce, milk, apple cider vinegar and melted butter. Whisk just until combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry and gently fold until evenly incorporated – there should still be lumps throughout the batter.
- Divide the batter among the cavities of a donut pan, filling them to the top.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- To make the Cinnamon Toast glaze, combine all glaze ingredients in a small bowl and stir until smooth and creamy.
- Spread glaze over cooled donuts, add additional toppings if desired, then place donuts in the fridge for about 20 minutes to allow the glaze to solidify.
