Ingredients:

For the Donuts:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup nuts’n more Cinnamon Toast Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter, cooled

For the Cinnamon Toast Glaze:

  • ¼ cup + 2 tbsp. nuts’n more Cinnamon Toast Powder
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil

 



                  Directions:

                  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Spray a donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.

                  2. Combine flour, brown sugar, Cinnamon Toast Powder, spices, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl and whisk together.
                  3. In a medium bowl, add vanilla, egg, applesauce, milk, apple cider vinegar and melted butter. Whisk just until combined.
                  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and gently fold until evenly incorporated – there should still be lumps throughout the batter.
                  5. Divide the batter among the cavities of a donut pan, filling them to the top.
                  6. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
                  7. To make the Cinnamon Toast glaze, combine all glaze ingredients in a small bowl and stir until smooth and creamy.
                  8. Spread glaze over cooled donuts, add additional toppings if desired, then place donuts in the fridge for about 20 minutes to allow the glaze to solidify.
