Overnight Oats In A Jar

February 17, 2016

You almost finished your jar of peanut butter. There’s not enough to make a great peanut butter jelly sandwich, but too much to throw the jar away. We’ve all been there. Don’t worry though, we’ve got a solution for you: overnight oatmeal in the almost empty peanut butter jar. Not only does it make the oatmeal all creamy, but you have less dishes to do too.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oatmeal
  • 1 cup liquid (such as unsweetened almond milk)
  • 1 almost empty jar of peanut butter
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • ½ tablespoon stevia
  • 1/3 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt

Method

  1. Combine the rolled oats, liquid, and cinnamon into a medium to large microwave safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for 2 minutes. Stir, and microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Once cooled, spoon the oatmeal into the almost empty jar of peanut butter.
  4. Add in the plain non-fat Greek yogurt, and 1/2 tablespoon stevia. Cover it all with the peanut butter jar lid, and store overnight. Enjoy cold in the morning!
